Great Decisions, America’s largest discussion program on world affairs, meets weekly on Wednesdays through March 26. Each week will feature a new topic for discussion.

Great Decisions, America’s largest discussion program on world affairs, meets in the Brooks Room weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. through March 26.

The Foreign Policy Association has selected eight critical issues facing the country to be the subjects of conversation. A briefing book is available for participants to read in advance so they can be informed and ready to participate. Participants are encouraged to order their briefing books on the association’s website, fpa.org. One copy of the briefing book will be available at the Service Desk for in-library reading.

Here are the topics for 2025:

  • Feb. 5: American Foreign Policy at a Crossroads
  • Feb. 12: U.S. Changing Leadership of the World Economy
  • Feb. 19: U.S.-China Relations
  • Feb. 26: India: Between China, the West, and the Global South
  • Mar. 5: International Cooperation on Climate Change
  • Mar. 12: The Future of NATO and European Security
  • Mar. 19: AI and American National Security
  • Mar. 26: American Foreign Policy in the Middle East: Taking Stock and Looking Ahead.

April 2 and 9 reserved for sessions rescheduled due to inclement weather.
