Plant Swap!

Liven up your home by swapping or adopting an indoor plant!

Calling all plant enthusiasts! Bring your extra houseplants, clippings, and propagations to the library to swap with others & chat with fellow plant lovers.

Planning:

• Only bring plants & containers that you are willing to part with.
• All plants must be healthy & pest-free.
• Label your plants (if possible).
• All indoor houseplants are welcome as long as they easily fit in a car and are not excessively heavy.
• Please bring your own box or container to carry your new plants home.

Day of Swap:

• Set-up & browsing will take place from 12:00 - 12:30 pm. Swapping will occur from 12:30 - 1:30 pm. 
• Tables labeled "Adopt" are for extra/unwanted plants. These are the only plants that will be freely available to take home, no swapping required. Please be mindful of how many plants you adopt. All other tables are reserved for direct trades. 
• Set up your plants at any of the available tables. Please ask us if you need help finding space.
• Once your plants are unpacked and displayed, put a nametag on yourself and a nametag on your table spot. You can then walk around the swap and see if there are any plants you want.
• If you see a plant you like, talk to the owner and ask if they would like to trade for any of your plants.
• Be respectful to your fellow attendees. Do not grab plants from people as they are walking in, and do not take plants from Swap tables without the owner's consent.
• Trades and giveaways only, no selling. To encourage trading, no selling/buying of plants among participants will be allowed.
• Attendees who bring at least one plant will be eligible to win a raffle prize!
